At Zero Waste Africa, We pride ourselves on our commitment to sustainable and inclusive development, working closely with communities and tailoring our solutions to meet the specific needs and priorities of each region we work in. The Vision
Our vision at Zero Waste Africa is to create a sustainable, circular economy in Africa that fosters local ownership, innovation, and inclusivity. We aim to minimize the environmental impact of waste while creating economic opportunities and promoting community resilience.
Waste Reduction and Recycling: We strive to foster a culture of waste reduction, reuse, and recycling to minimize the environmental impact of waste and promote a circular economy in Africa.
Community Engagement: We engage with local communities and civil society organizations to build awareness and capacity for sustainable waste management practices at all levels, from individuals and households to small businesses and industries.

The Mission
Zero Waste Africa has a clear mission: to promote sustainable waste management solutions in Africa. Our aim is to reduce waste, minimize the negative impacts on the environment and public health, and ultimately improve the well-being of communities.
Through our community outreach programs and educational initiatives, we are dedicated to raising public awareness about the environmental and health hazards associated with improper waste disposal. We strongly advocate for alternative approaches such as reuse, recycling, and waste reduction.
Zero Waste Africa firmly believes in working together with local actors to develop and implement climate-resilient solutions. Our focus lies in supporting ecosystem-based approaches that are just, appropriate, and effective. Gender equity and social inclusion, enhancing access to finance for locally led climate-resilient actions, promoting climate literacy, and empowering youth are at the core of our guiding principles.
